The Giver
In the late 1990s, a big guy came in to buy uniforms for a summer league he was coaching. But the kids couldn’t afford them, so he was footing the bill. We figured it took a special kind of person to give back so willingly, so we hired him. It was a great call. He quickly became the lovable guy everyone could count on, an incredibly hard-working jack-of-all-trades who always had our back. He kept coaching, too, and his reputation in those circles drew others to Pro Athlete. His knack for creating sincere relationships — not just empty words to make the sale — inspires our approach to service today. After all, when you truly care about the customer, you never rest until they’re satisfied.
